Dr. Courts is an example of how professors should conduct themselves in a course and set expectations for busy students. He is one of the greatest Professor's I have ever had.

My full name is Nguyen, a student from Current Issues in Leadership.

I would like to express my gratitude for the enjoyable classes we had with you. We appreciate your efforts to make our classes unique, fascinating, and enjoyable through your imaginative teaching. We appreciate your generosity in contributing your unique treasures, time, and talent. I'm at a loss for words to express our gratitude. I've learned numerous valuable lessons in leadership as a result of your course, and I'm confident that we will build our career successfully. Great inventors, leaders, and revolutions do not appear out of thin air. Teachers like you motivate and inspire them to greatness. We appreciate your lesson as my compass. One additional distinctive thing about you that we will remember is how much you enjoy talking about Vietnam and your family, which we find to be quite entertaining.

Good Evening Dr. Courts,

I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you and extend my appreciation for your time, insights, and guidance in the ECON course. This was the hardest class I have taken (to date) and it certainly challenged me. I appreciate that you were always encouraging and offered positive feedback (even when I was frustrated with myself). I learned so much and recognize how the scenarios can translate to real world scenarios. I look forward to applying what we have learned to my professional work experience.

Best regards,

K

Hi Dr. Courts,

I wanted to reach out to to thank you for the course you delivered this semester. I enjoyed the lectures and the way you humanized the subject matter and yourself. You quickly calmed my anxiety about taking a finance course and the assignments (and your flexibility and understanding) made the workload manageable while also helping me to learn a lot more about a subject I am interested in but a bit intimidated by. I know I learned a lot this term because I started investing in stocks and understand most of what is going on. I was also speaking to a friend this afternoon who told me he was investing in stocks as his savings plan and I was able to intelligently suggest that he investigate bonds for that goal instead. More importantly, I was able to explain why I was making the suggestion I made and why stocks might not be the best vehicle for his investment goals and risk tolerance.

Your class was truly enjoyable, and I anticipate using what I learned to make better financial decisions for myself and the organizations I work with in the future. Enjoy your break and stay safe and well.

Dr. Courts brought a great personality and developed a likewise atmosphere. I enjoyed reading the comments in the grading section and can tell the professor really cares for the students. Thank you Dr.Courts for a great return semester post break! This has turned out to be my favorite class so far and has encouraged me to keep going!

The Covid-19 pandemic unfolded a few weeks into this course. Dr. Courts has been a great instructor for this course. This was my second time taking the course due to personal issues the initial time, and without his encouragement through a couple emails at the beginning, I would have given up. Thank you Dr. Courts for pushing me and encouraging me to make my argument and be confident in my work!! I went from failing this class the first time to ending with a 94 at the beginning of week 2!! I truly cannot explain my happiness and appreciation

Jannie

Professor Courts was great at explaining the content in a way that could be easily understood. I found the videos very helpful when trying to learn the weekly concepts.

It is nice to have a professor that addresses questions and concerns promptly and seems to care about the students learning the information rather than going through the motions. I thoroughly enjoyed this class because I learned a great deal from it.

Hands down the best online professor I have ever had. He responded to emails very quickly and responded to submitted work incredibly fast. His comments on work submitted also were very engaging ans he mad me feel like the work/effort that I put into the work for this class was seen as well as appreciated. Thank you for being a great professor!

Dr. Courts - I just want to thank you for your feedback on my posts each week. I know you comment on all the students. It's just nice to get feedback; which helps me weekly to continue to work hard and do my absolute best. You're new to the program and you've been a great fit for the program. I really appreciate your professionalism and your style of teaching us all about Marketing. I hope that in the future, I can contact you for advice or guidance, or maybe even a referral. Thanks again, I just to let you know you're doing a great job

Dr. Courts,

Credit where it is due: this is my eighth class in the Online MBA program. We're only in Week 3, and I am most impressed with this one compared to the others. Thank you for the detailed and thorough feedback in your responses to the graded assignments and discussions. It is clear that you take the time to read and absorb what your students write, and provide your own expertise accordingly. I can honestly say that this not always been the case from other instructors.
I know it's early, but thanks again. This level of commitment has definitely raised my own level of excitement for this course.

Professor Courts,
I want to thank you for a great 7 weeks of class. I have truly learned a lot and I hope to continue to apply many of these concepts to my future jobs. I am grateful for the topics and the feedback that I received from each assignment. You are a great professor and I wish you continued success. Blessings to you

Hi Dr. Courts
It was a pleasure taking this course; I initially approached the course with a lot of trepidation because honestly, economics can be scary and complex. There were quite a few challenging weeks. However, you made the course enjoyable. The discussion posts helped to put the course content into perspective which made it less rigid and understandable. Thank you for your insightful feedback each week. I've taken all of my courses in the online format and naturally all professors have a different style, some do not engage or provide any feedback. I'm very appreciative of the constant feedback on the discussion posts and assignments; which is to say, you expressed value in the content regardless of whether it was right or wrong.

Professor Courts,
Just wanted to send a quick note of thanks for the work you put into designing the class, your engagement in the discussions, and feedback on assignments. I enjoyed the class and learned a lot; I’m not questioning many things in a new light and thinking about the incentives behind different agents’ decisions.
Have a great rest of your summer.
Best,
C

Hey professor thanks for the feedback weekly through out the course. It really gives me a push of motivation each and every time.

Dr. Courts:
I usually write each of my professors an email thanking them after each semester since I know you all put a lot of hard work & care into teaching us. Thanks for making Management Information Systems a joy to attend. I really appreciated your help when I needed it to figure out a study plan. You made it so much fun to learn. We're glad to have you here at LC!!

Hello Dr Courts,
I want to thank you very much for your contributions to my understanding of Marketing. I will honestly miss your unique engagement and care of your student learning and success. You are real mentor. Thanks again for your consideration and support.

Sir, there must be a mistake I am pleased and focused on meeting requirements.
My comments on the survey were:
“Dr. Courts engaged the whole class as a subject matter expert, mentor, researcher, and teacher. His uncanny ability to know when to actively switch roles to enhance and encourage students in-depth understanding was impressive to witness. When several of the links to required reading was bad, he found the documents for the class, something as an Adult learner that is appreciated!
Dr. Courts interjected current real-world examples, asked stimulating questions and added his professional experience to allow us to understand the material and learn from his hard-earned experience as a researcher and instructor. Look forward to having Dr. Courts instruct and lead future classes!
Respectfully,
M C

Hi Dr. Courts:
I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your course on Strategic Planning. You have the curriculum set up perfect for getting us through the content of the course, and the forum discussions were great. We had a very bright group who were open and creative in their responses through the eight weeks, and your added comments and questions were right on target!
I hope I can find and take another course that you lead as I work toward the Masters in Management degree.
Have a super summer!

Dr. Courts it was such a pleasure being part of your class, MGMT Problem solving I and II. I have to say, I learned so much. Your class and instruction has built my confidence and it shows in my work performance. I am leading a team to implement changes program-wide. I know I would not have been able to pursue this endeavor had I not taken Problem Solving courses. Again thank you.

Thanks for a fantastic Capstone! I took the advice and it was enjoyable! I
learned a lot and it inspired me to take on challenges such as reading the book
by the titles of mergers and acquisitions and perhaps look at private equity
opportunities scaled down.

Hi Dr. Courts
I just wanted to thank you for an amazingly informative and insightful semester. I have learned so much about economics during these past weeks.
